After all our belongings are packed up and removed from our house, we
moved into the trailer on Wednesday the 19th, spending the night at the
curb in front of the empty house.
On Thursday the 20th, we finished cleaning the house, then moved to Campland On The Bay, on Mission Bay in San Diego.
We decided to spend our first week locally so as to be sure that everything
worked, that we were available for any house closing needs, to get one last
visit to the dentist, and to handle a few other local errands. This
also gave us a chance to have last visits and goodbyes with many of our great
friends and colleagues in San Diego, and one last pizza night at Filippi's.
On Wednesday the 26th, we finally got the house closed, moments before
the end of the business day. Just under the wire, since we're planning an
early start the next morning to head off to Death Valley. In the end, everything
worked out OK, and we spent our last night in San Diego knowing that we were
in good shape with everything.
