Jacque and Brian's Great Adventure

Nebraska has a National Forest! I've recently found some quiet time to focus on the web site, and, as you will see below, I've made great strides towards catching up! Look for the icons below to see what's been updated/added.

As I write this, our Great Peregrination has mostly come to an end. We are in Pennsylvania at Jacque's parents' house until the end of July, at which time we move permanently to Winston-Salem. In late June we spent a week there house hunting, but since we didn't find our dream home in the week we allotted for looking, we will initially be moving in to a one-bedroom furnished apartment for a couple of months. This will give us time to look more leisurely for a home, and will also give Jacque the ability to establish herself in her new position at Wake Forest University.

The updates on the web pages below take us up to the beginning of June. We had worked our way across the top of the western US, from Seattle to the Dakotas, and then down to Iowa and across to Indiana. Most every stop along that way was visiting friends or family. But, we saw some amazing and wonderful things, had close encounters with Bison and Cowboys, and had an all-around great time. I even discovered a National Forest in Nebraska, where trees are a rather uncommon sight.

Still to come: after Indiana we went to Niagara Falls, and then met with friends in Rochester before heading to Jacque's parents' in Camp Hill, PA, ending the major portion of our Great Adventure. Camp Hill is our base of operations until we move to Winston-Salem, but from there we have still done some traveling: a long weekend at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, with Jacque's brother's family; a week in Winston-Salem house hunting; a week in London, UK, with Jacque's parents (no, we didn't drive the trailer to London!); and a week in New Hampshire/Vermont for a Gordon Conference for Jacque. Watch this space for pictures from those trips.

In working on the updates today, I noticed that our Guestbook page has been discovered by Spammers, and suddenly has become filled with junk messages offering online gambling, pornography, and performance-enhancing drugs. Its amazing to me the lengths to which Spammers will go! Accordingly, I have removed the Guestbook link from this page. Feel free to email either of us if you'd like!
